Description:

This is an residential apartment located in Iceland with all designed MEP systems due to standarts of Iceland.

Scope:

We received Architecture and Structural Revit models, CAD and PDF drawings with basic information for start designing and our tasks were:

– design MEP systems in the buildings

– coordination of MEP systems with architectural and structural models

– fabrication construction drawings

– technical support

What we did:

• Obtained a model of architecture and structure 
• Modeled Ventilation, Cold & Hot Domestic Water, Heating, Rainwater and Sewage
• Coordinated all systems with architecture and structure models 
• Added openings 
• Created drawings of all systems and openings 

Working on Storigardur project we used a full pack of modern software:

– Autodesk Revit for modelling systems and fabrication drawings

– Plugins for Revit, that optimize processes that save client’s money

– MagiCAD for calculation heating system

– Navisworks for detailed Clash Detection

– BIM360 for effective collaboration

– Dropbox for data exchange in our team

Result:

The client received Revit model with a full pack of designed, optimized and coordinated MEP systems, namely: Ventilation, Cold & Hot Domestic Water, Heating, Rainwater and Sewage
